Willys supplied the decisive package
Willys brought Delmar Roos's Go Devil engine, refined the design, and won the standardized production contract.
Ford supplied scale
Ford's GPW production capacity and engineering discipline were central to wartime volume. The later trademark result does not settle sole creative credit.
